This is why we now only offer private safaris. A private safari allows travelers to explore the country at their own pace, exactly the way they want. If you prefer to watch birds most of the time, start your safari day very early, or relax at the lodge, it is entirely up to you. With a private safari, you will have your own 4WD safari vehicle and personal guide. No compromises! If you wish to stop at a waterhole to watch lions for two hours, that’s possible. If your main interest is the Great Migration, your guide can tailor the experience to focus on that. Are Group Safaris Much Cheaper Than Private Safaris?

The total price of a safari consists of three main components: the rental cost of the safari vehicle, entrance fees for national parks, and accommodation expenses. In a group safari, the only cost reduction comes from sharing the vehicle rental, which makes up just a portion of the total cost. Therefore, a group safari is not significantly cheaper than a private one. No matter your choice, a safari is an investment, and you will be spending considerably more than on an average trip.

Another great option is to invite friends, family, or colleagues to join you on a private safari. If your travel companions share similar interests, you can experience the luxury of a private safari while sharing the costs.
