Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you’ll be met and transferred to Meru View Lodge. Relax in the tranquil gardens or explore Arusha’s surroundings. In the evening, attend a trek briefing before dinner.
Transfer to Lemosho Gate (2,385 m). Trek through lush rainforest, spotting colobus monkeys, before reaching Big Tree Camp (2,780 m).
Trek through changing landscapes from forest to heathland, crossing the Shira Plateau to Shira Camp 2 (3,900 m). Stunning views of Mount Meru await.
Ascend to Lava Tower (4,640 m) before descending into the beautiful Barranco Valley. Overnight at Barranco Camp (3,960 m).

After breakfast, trek down to Mweka Gate. Say farewell to your mountain crew before returning to Meru View Lodge in Arusha for a hot shower and rest.
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey. Many trekkers choose to extend their adventure with a luxury safari in Tanzania’s national parks or a Zanzibar beach escape.
