Zanzibar to Mikumi day safari
An early transfer to the airport for your flight to Mikumi. Your guide meets the plane and you spend the day game-driving the Mkata floodplain, breaking for a picnic lunch, before the afternoon flight back to Zanzibar and a transfer to your hotel.

What animals will I see?
The northern parks are strong for the Big Five and big cats; the southern parks (Mikumi, Nyerere/Selous) add elephants, hippos, and wild dogs. Sightings vary by season and luck.

What is the best time to go?
The dry season (July–September) is prime for wildlife, and December to mid-March is also excellent. We advise on the calving and migration timing if that’s your focus.
