An early game drive when the park is most active and the light is best, back to the lodge for breakfast, then a transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Island.

How does a safari from Zanzibar work?

What animals will I see?
The northern parks are strong for the Big Five and big cats; the southern parks (Mikumi, Nyerere/Selous) add elephants, hippos, and wild dogs. Sightings vary by season and luck.

What is the best time to go?
The dry season (July–September) is prime for wildlife, and December to mid-March is also excellent. We advise on the calving and migration timing if that’s your focus.
