Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara each offer a different landscape: baobab woodland and elephants, the wildlife-rich crater floor, and the Rift Valley’s groundwater forest and lake edge.
Two nights near Karatu keep the route efficient and avoid changing accommodation every evening. The safari is well suited to first-time visitors, couples and families who want a concise wildlife program before continuing to Zanzibar or Kilimanjaro.
3-Day Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara Safari takes you through Tanzania's most celebrated national parks. Each day is a different landscape, a different wildlife encounter.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day crater-floor safari. This unique enclosed ecosystem supports a high concentration of resident wildlife, with opportunities to see lions, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, hyenas, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Your guide will share insights into the crater’s ecology, wildlife, and conservation efforts throughout the experience. After a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive, ascend from the crater and return to your Karatu lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
