Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp is an intimate luxury mobile tented camp operated by Nomad Tanzania inside Serengeti National Park. Rather than remaining permanently in one location, the camp moves several times during the year to follow the seasonal movement of the Great Migration.
This is one of the defining features of the camp. Nomad states that Serengeti Safari Camp moves approximately four to five times each year, positioning itself in different areas of the Serengeti according to the expected movement of wildebeest and zebra. The camp itself does not move while guests are staying there.
With only six Meru-style canvas tents plus one family safari tent, the experience is intentionally small and closely connected to the surrounding wilderness. Accommodation is comfortable but deliberately uncomplicated, with en-suite bathrooms, hot bucket showers and flush toilets rather than the extensive facilities of a permanent safari lodge.
