Pakulala Safari Camp

Pakulala Safari Camp is an intimate tented safari camp positioned on the rim of Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater, inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Its location is the defining feature: guests stay directly in the conservation area with expansive views toward the crater floor rather than travelling back to accommodation around Karatu after their safari activities.

The camp has only 11 safari tents, creating a small and personal atmosphere. Its design combines traditional expedition-style safari elements with handcrafted furnishings and modern comforts. Tents feature comfortable beds, private bathrooms, bucket showers and private outdoor sitting areas.

Evenings revolve around the campfire, dinner and the quiet atmosphere of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The camp also works closely with members of the local Maasai community, adding cultural interaction to the wildlife experience.
